Welcome to Jonny’s new recipe section.
Here we hope you will find some culinary inspiration as you explore some of his seasonal dishes, using lovely local produce.
LOCAL EAST COAST FISH part II
Here is Jonny’s 2015 Suffolk Show recipe, more lovely local fish, we just adore it!
This year it was a lovely main course of oven-baked cod steak with Deben mussels and tarragon cream linguine pasta. Click here for the full recipes.
LOCAL EAST COAST FISH part I
There are a couple of great fish recipes, which Jonny demonstrated at the 2014 Suffolk Show last year – one for a simple starter of garlic crostini (similar to a bruschetta) with crisp pan-fried mackerel and broad bean pesto; the other a main course of crunchy sole goujons (posh fish fingers) with samphire, new potatoes, slow roast tomatoes and a sorrel butter sauce. SUFFOLK SPRING LAMB
And at the 2014 Flavours food festival at Henham Park, Jonny created a couple of lovely lamb recipes to accompany a butchery demonstration from our lovely Bell butcher, Jeremy Thickitt from Clarke’s of Bramfield (worth visiting near Halesworth, here’s their website – www.kwclarke.co.uk) – one for a lovely almost Greek-style warm salad of leftover shredded lamb, fried crisp, and served on lovely samphire again with broad beans, capers and lemon-dressed rocket leaves; the second is for a lovely summery sunday lunch dish to eat al fresco, of pink-seared lamb cutlets, fondant potato, watercress, braised lentils and tarragon bearnaise.
